Did you know the Crest pond used to be known as Garland Lake years ago? The Colonial Crest Association members are stewards of the pond and are responsible for its maintenance (read more here), as well as the common areas in the neighborhood like the triangles. In the spring and fall, neighbors come together to cleanup the pond and shared areas. Many hands make light work! We typically trim trees, pick up sticks & limbs, clean trash out of the pond and tree line, weed, edge, mulch, and whatever else needs attention. This year it was a cold and windy morning but we accomplished quite a bit! Be on the lookout for an email to sign up for the edging, weeding, mulching, and adopt-a-triangle. Thank you to Chip Bayer, Bill Miller, Earl Haas, Pat Sullivan, and Dan & Rebecca James.
